29/04/09. Two hazel trees planted four years ago have been destroyed in an act of casual vandalism. Out of 40 whips planted in 2005 only two have escaped destruction.
04/02/09. Youths have sawn down three trees at edge of west wood and set fires. The socially-retarded person who smokes Lambert and Butler cigarettes continues to litter the heath with his empty packets. Someone is continuing to dig on the heath and is unearthing broken glass which is injuring dogs.
16/09/09. Man arrived in blue Fiat Marea estate car S925 MGM, took metal detector and spade into woodland and began digging. When challenged claimed he had council permission, but shortly afterwards left hurriedly. Simon Calderbank informed.

07/11/08. Someone has been digging on the heath near the Eagle & Child, unearthing glass and bricks.
06/11/08. Much rubbish dumped at the edge of the heath - the dumping was widespread, from Windsor Road access to Eagle & Child: beds, mattresses, kitchens, glass and household rubbish. A white van - MC04 EXR - dumped two lots of commercial rubbish next to the sign warning of prosecution for fly tipping, and has been reported to the Environmental Department.
03/11/08. Last night someone took the opportunity of bonfire night to dump pallets and a metal wheelbarrow on the heath. Police visited.
06/09/08. Two drinking dens discovered in south wood. Police informed and visited. Dens destroyed. Two mature ash trees have been cut down in south wood without reason. Damage done to corner of west wood by drinkers will require repair.
26/05/08. Three tents in middle wood surrounded by empty cans and alcohol bottles. Fires being lit in woodland. Police informed.
23/04/08. 21.30. A 17-year old youth lost control of a 125cc moped outside the Eagle and Child and suffered serious head injuries.

07/09/05. A minority of dog owners continue to allow their pets to foul the heathland and pathways despite requests for them to respect the environment. This week dogs were even being allowed to foul pathways whilst volunteers were building them.
27/03/05. Scarlet willow planted last week pulled up, presumably by the vandals who have caused damage to the work before.
16/03/05. Fly-tipping cleared by Street Scene team. Some whips pulled up, and some recently planted bulbs dug up.

06/01/05. The Vice-Chair of AHRA witnessed a critic of AHRA's restoration work attacking the dead-hedging and depositing the branches on the heathland,
17/10/04. Damage to heath: Two men, one in his late forties and one in his sixties, arrived this pm on bicycles and started digging on the heath. They ignored comments from a member that this was illegal, and eventually disappeared in the direction of Golborne. The damage they have done will take several hours to repair.
