An
almost unknown document that affects
all people in the Wigan Borough.
The Unitary Development Plan (UDP) is a document that sets
out the council's planning policies that will be used to guide
development, in the Wigan Borough.
Decisions on planning applications must be
made in line with the UDP, unless there are clear material
considerations which dictate why this should not be the case.
Any proposed deveopment should comply with
the U.D.P., that is, the council should abide by the rules
layed out in its own document.
The U.D.P.
We believe that Wigan MBC is not complying with the rules
layed out
in the U.D.P. if it allows the developer to go ahead.
