Local residents group see potential for the wood.
Residents in the area have seen the
potential for this wooded area and are
keen to guard it from developers.

They feel that the wood could be made
in to a nature area with a walkway.
The wood could contain a seating area
and, with a little clearing work a grass
section could be induced to grow,
enhancing further the attractiveness of
the woodland.

A Walkway through the wood.
Anyone walking through could see that with a little care the 4 acre site
could become a local beauty spot. Stubshaw Cross residents group have
applied to adopt this land and have been told that it will be discussed at
the next cabinet meeting.

At the north end of the wood there is already a pathway giving an
indication of how the layout could be developed.
These photographs were taken in March.
There will much more greenery later on in the year.
