| Local residents group see potential for the wood. | |
| Residents in the area have seen the potential for this wooded area and are keen to guard it from developers. They feel that the wood could be made in to a nature area with a walkway. The wood could contain a seating area and, with a little clearing work a grass section could be induced to grow, enhancing further the attractiveness of the woodland. |

| Anyone walking through could see that
with a little care the 4 acre site could become a local beauty spot. Stubshaw Cross residents group have applied to adopt this land and have been told that it will be discussed at the next cabinet meeting. |

At the north end of the wood there is already a pathway giving an indication of how the layout could be developed. These photographs were taken in March. There will much more greenery later on in the year. |
