| On
the north side there is a line of Hawthorn of some considerable age, some up to 100 years old. The rest of the area is now completely covered with a variety of trees, from new growths to trees 25 years old. The latter being the original plantings. It is quite densely populated, with tree density varying from 21 trees per 100m2 to 112 trees per 100m2. (A 10m x 10m square). Trees present (rough percentages) : Alder (72%), Hawthorn (10%), Oak (7%), Silver Birch (4%), Larch (2%), Maple (2%), Elderberry (1%), Spruce (1%), Sycamore (1%). |
